Objective for BP Crew

.......drop the cornice into the chute, follow the fall line into the crux, straight-line the choke, then huck the cliff into wide open fields of powder!

Another skiing great has lost his life.

I am posting this because avalanche danger is REAL and can kill even the most experienced. Jamie Pierre, local Wasatch, UT skier died yesterday in Snowbird Resort terrain which has not been opened to public yet. According to the UAC he was caught in an avalanche that held October's rotten snow which most likely, was the weak layer that caused the slope to rip out. I have personally seen the effects of early season snow combined with avi deaths year after year in the Wasatch Range. Apparently him and his partner were not wearing beacons and had no rescue gear. It's sad to hear of his death as I have personally seen Jamie Pierre skiing in the deep snow.
Let's all have a safe, powder filled ski season. Please be smart, make time for practice using avi gear, use your knowledge and carry your avi gear so that we can all enjoy turns together for the rest of our lives. It's our lifestyle not just a hobby for the Blower Pow Crew!

Montauk spearfishing

35" striped bass

Beautiful weather! 80 degree days in mid-October. Lost track of how many fish were caught...big blues and stripers feeding on tiny 'rain' bait. Free dove both days after we were tired of pole fishing...no wetsuit needed...in October...whaaaat! Took home a few stripes for the dinner table. Couldn't of asked for better days! I'll be in Montauk every fall until I die, its absolutely amazing...world class fishing! We seriously have to try to all get out there for a few days next year. Went out again yesterday for a day trip and despite the snotty weather, we ran into patches of Albacore and Blue fish. Watched Sal catch some huge Albies and blue fish on the fly setup.

Biking, hiking, beach, great restaurants...lets do this!

SUSHI TIME!

Bait to Plate...at Velo in Nyack...SO GOOD!

R.I.P. South Ridge Triple Chair

A true piece of Killington history! The South Ridge Triple was built in 1977 at Killington Resort and featured a 90 degree turn in the lift line. This past summer, the lift was retired after 34 snowy winters of service.
