2 feet on the way!
Mount Olympus with Tolcat couloir filled in. Hey snowboy, you still hold the record for the biggest cliff drop in Crystal Point but I just stuck the same drop clean today. Not quite as high as you went due to an overhanging scary wind cornice hanging off where you dropped. Right around 20' of Scary FUN!

The Bluebird was singing this weekend after being silent for weeks! ~Snowfall averaging 7 inches a day since Dec 19!
CO Rockies get Hammered again!
Too bad it's not cold enough in the east to snow, but it's plenty cold enough to produce killer blower days out here in the Rockies. In fact, it's snowing too much according to avalanche forecasters, they want it to stop... Not us!!! 50" of snow has blessed the summit and vail counties in the last 7 days. FG, AMags and RSR have had their share of freshies this past week.
1/7 - AMags dropping into Whale's Tail at Breck
1/7 - RSR Slashing turns down the ridge on Psychopath at Breck, off of chair 6
1/9 - AMags hucking a 20' at Beaver Creek, Upper Stone Creek Chutes
1/10 - RSR and sidekick ripping it through trees in Blue Sky Basin, Vail (Exact location will not be disclosed due to poaching)
1/10 - FG tearing it up through the same undisclosed tree section
1/10- Amags - Undisclosed
1/10 - RSR drops a nice diving board, Vail, Pete's Bowl
1/10 - FG Breaks trail to DEEPER (as if you thought it wasn't possible) blower pow
1/10 - FG snagging first descent down the viginized face
1/10 - AMags follows suit with the best facial from the new virgin snow (best 8 seconds ever)
1/10 - FG playing in the snow
1/10 - AMags, more face shots
Safety should always be the first thought when skiing in the BC, as well as within resort ropes, you never know what can happen...

For now, that's it from CO... The crew here will be migrating to the Wasatch mtns in the next week or so. Never Summer!

Watery Goodness
With the lack of snow on the East Coast we have to come up with other ways to play. When the waves are head high, the water a glassy Caribbean blue with temps around 46 degrees, and the air temperature reaching 55 degrees...our choice was simple. Some dirty Jersey wave fun.
Great day playing in the waves. Head high and glassy with warm temps...I still can't get the smile off my face.

Still Pukin
Maybe the StokeOMeter can describe what I was skiing!

Well with plenty of snow overnight and 10+ inches of snow today, skiing was epic. Lots of drops w/ deep powder landings and plenty of head over faceshots. I also experienced my first true door-hinge on teles. Just another best day of skiing in my life. I find myself saying that often this season! SICK!!!!!

Nukin n Pukin
While LCC was closed every last individual with the bug to ski pow showed up in BCC by noon time. I had my best runs in the morning with fresh lines thru lunch before the chaos. I had to leave at 1:30PM cause I didn't want to deal with the crowds and tracked out conditions. More on the way with possible up to 14"+ of light density snow to arrive tonight into tomorrow with all the pow hounds back in LCC.

East Coast Representation
So, although we back East certainly envy the altitude and terrain out there you "Westies"...this season has been sick so far for KTown. Three days in so far and a total of 40" accumulated throughout those priceless pre-winter days. Although not much photography to illustrate...here are two pics to begin our representation on Blower Powder.

What the hell is that on his face???
Larry-Lar breaking trail up to Ram's Head. Knee deep most of the way up! Feel the burn...

Dec 14-16. If You Only Knew...
Only a few do Know! Keep it that way!
Looking out the Highway to Heaven gates at Wolverine Cirque and Twin Lakes Pass. This season this will be our backcountry home!

A week after a storm Frankie is still getting sick powder turns accessed by chairlifts under Evergreen.

Yours truly tele-skiing the Boundary-Chutes on my new Scott P4s. They are sweet!

This is a frame taken from our video. I thought it was a cool photo showing the summit in the background.

FG side stepping the traverse under C-rock!

Once again scoping out lines to rip my next run!
