Forecast called for snow the day before my arrival to SLC. It snowed 8"+ and then two days later snowed another foot. Skiers made powder turns down Main Chute at Alta. I was too sketched out for that, so instead I parked at Grizzly Gulch, strapped on my gear and skinned up Albion Basin.
My skin track next to a previous bootpack going up to the top of Vail Ridge
Good job, Bro. It is nice to see snow at my favorite place. Even you had to ski some low-angle loving with a 'No" base. Wild how the base will be over 100 inches by mid-Jan. Will this be the year of the ROCKER, or do I get a Super-G set up? Be careful if you lose at Frolf in your home town. Soligully will be ready to ski POW POW and throw a disc.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a pocket knife...
